About the Team/Role

WEX is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer with a specialization in Salesforce to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and implement scalable business solutions utilizing the Salesforce.com platform and its ecosystem of connected applications and integrations. How you'll make an impact

1. Solution Development & Configuration: Design, develop, and configure solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and processes.

2. Collaboration & Requirements Analysis: Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze project objectives, define capability requirements, and develop specifications for user interfaces, customized applications, and Salesforce integrations.

3. System Administration & Maintenance: Provide comprehensive system administration support, including user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow management for customized applications.

4. Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the SCRUM team, including pre-sprint technical design and grooming activities.

5. Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Ensure all developed solutions adhere to industry best practices, WEX standards, and compliance requirements. Conduct thorough testing and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

6. Production Support & Issue Resolution: Engage with production support staff to resolve critical and chronic production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.

7. Cross-Functional Testing: Participate in testing other developer stories to support the Integrated Engineering model and maintain a high standard of software quality.

Experience you'll bring

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field.

2. Experience designing and developing enterprise CRM/Salesforce.com solutions, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, triggers, and workflows.

3. Proficiency in building Salesforce Lightning Web Components.

4. Experience with web services (SOAP or REST).

5. Strong software architecture, design, and problem-solving skills.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

7. Salesforce Certified Developer and/or Administrator certifications.

8. Experience with DevOps tools and processes in a cloud environment.

9. Experience working in highly transactional, e-commerce, or finance-related industries.

10. Advanced experience with Salesforce integration techniques and ETL frameworks.

11. Experience with credit bureau integration.
