You will be working with amultidisciplinary global engineering team composed of software developers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, validation specialists, and product leaders focused on delivering safe, reliable, and high-process control systems for the rail industry. This team operates in ahighly collaborative, technical environment, where design reviews, requirement discussions, and cross‑functional problem‑solving sessions are part of the daily workflow. You will also engage directly withinternational engineering partners,external suppliers, andprogram managers to ensure alignment on requirements, test strategies, and verification outcomes. The team combines deep expertise inembedded control systems, functional safety, communication protocols, and system integration, enabling continuous improvement and innovation across Wabtec's locomotive platforms and transportation systems.
As a member of theControl Systems and Software Test Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining test strategies that ensure the reliability and safety of electronic control systems used in the rail industry. You will validate embedded and control software through manual and automated testing, ensure that system and software requirements are testable, and support the development of test automation tools and frameworks. You will contribute directly to ensuring that Wabtec delivers high‑quality, compliant, and robust control software solutions that meet customer, regulatory, and operational requirements.
