The Test Automation Lead will support the definition and implementation of a scalable test automation approach to reduce regression cycle time and improve repeatability across the organization's IT Roadmap initiatives.

• Review the existing QA Framework and Operational Manual for automation-related guidance, and define or refine the test automation strategy accordingly.
• Contribute to the definition of the QA technology stack for automation, building on and extending current tools — including Selenium and Postman — and recommending additional frameworks or integrations needed to close coverage gaps, in coordination with the QA Practice Lead's broader stack assessment.
• Design reusable automation standards, frameworks, and patterns that project teams can adopt consistently, rather than one-off, project-specific solutions.
• Help avoid the creation of project-specific automation that cannot be reused or maintained, safeguarding the long-term value of automation assets across the portfolio.

Automation Delivery

• Identify high-value automation candidates based on regression risk, execution frequency, and manual effort.
• Support automation of smoke, regression, API, and selected functional test scenarios, leveraging Selenium and Postman as applicable, and evaluating BDD-style approaches where they add value (no specific BDD framework or tool is mandated).
• Support integration of automation into release readiness cycles where feasible, including execution within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish automation execution reporting, ensuring results are visible through existing dashboards and tied into JIRA (with the X-Ray module) for traceability against test cases and defects.
• Coordinate with QA Engineers, DevOps, system integrators, SaaS vendors, and project teams to align automation coverage with delivery timelines and interface/data dependencies.

Knowledge Transfer

• Create documentation and knowledge transfer materials for automation assets, ensuring frameworks, scripts, and patterns are maintainable and institutionalized as part of the QA Practice beyond the life of the engagement.
