Jobtailor is seeking a Software QA Tester to plan testing strategies and ensure quality across .NET web apps and APIs. You will create test plans, execute varied tests, document defects, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include validating REST APIs, SQL data checks, and CI/CD practices in an Agile environment. English/Spanish skills are assets for effective communication inSão Paulo, Brazil.

Qualificações

• Experience creating, executing and documenting test cases.
• Experience with web applications and APIs (C# and Angular).
• Familiarity with defect tracking and reporting.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods and JSON.
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile methods.

Responsabilidades

• Plan the testing strategy for new features, enhancements and fixes in .NET Framework applications.
• Create test plans, test cases and execution scripts ensuring coverage.
• Define acceptance criteria with development and business stakeholders.
• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration and UAT tests.
• Validate requirements, business rules and system integrations.
• Ensure quality by verifying specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, log, document and track defects across the lifecycle.
• Reproduce failures and support root-cause analysis for fixes.
• Validate legacy apps for stability, performance and compatibility.
• Support modernization initiatives, ensuring delivery quality.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, evidence and artifacts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via test automation.

Responsibilities

• Plan the testing strategy for new features, enhancements and fixes in applications developed on the .NET Framework.
• Create test plans, test cases and execution scripts, ensuring adequate coverage of functional requirements and business rules.
• Define acceptance criteria together with the development team and business stakeholders.
• Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration and user acceptance tests.
• Validate functional requirements, business rules and system integrations.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables by verifying adherence to specifications and established acceptance criteria.
• Identify, log, document and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Reproduce failure scenarios and support the development team in root‑cause analysis and verification of implemented fixes.
• Work on validating legacy applications, ensuring their stability, performance and compatibility after maintenance and upgrades.
• Support application modernization initiatives, ensuring delivery quality during technological evolution.
• Prepare and maintain up‑to‑date test plans, evidence, reports and other artifacts related to the testing process.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software quality processes by proposing best practices and opportunities for test automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree completed, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis or related fields.
• Experience testing software in web applications and APIs (C# and Angular).
• Experience creating, executing and documenting test cases.
• Experience in identifying, logging, tracking and managing defects.
• Knowledge of SQL queries for data validation and investigation of inconsistencies.
• Knowledge of system integration and testing REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of the HTTP protocol (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, headers, authentication, response codes and JSON).
• Familiarity with applications developed on the .NET Framework and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular).
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with test and issue/requirement management tools.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Wrike or equivalent platforms (desirable).
• Basic programming knowledge in C# or similar languages (desirable).
• Knowledge of continuous integration (CI/CD) (desirable).
• Knowledge of performance and security testing (desirable).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure environments (desirable).
• Reading, writing and/or conversational skills in English and/or Spanish (assets).
• Microsoft certifications related to the technologies involved (assets).
