The purpose of this role is to make IFF the partner of choice for enzymes, cultivating and developing professional and productive relationships with existing and potential customers to achieve strategic revenue growth and profit goals.
Major accountabilities:
- Account management: Leading the sales process at existing accounts for the Brewing and Distilling segment in Latin America South, providing exceptional service through personal interactions with customers and potential customers, with a significant degree of independence, involving relevant internal team members when necessary.
- Market assessment and monitoring: Evaluating the competitive landscape to develop differential strategies and execute the agreed-upon business strategy to grow within the segment.
- Business development/pipeline management: Identifying and developing new opportunities, maintaining records through pipeline management tools like SFDC.
- Internal housekeeping: Forecast rollout, financial updates, demand meetings, continuous SFDC updates, credit and collections, among others.
Main responsibilities:
- Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets for the Brewing Enzymes business unit.
- Manage and build relationships with existing customers, applying independence of application area to accelerate processes.
- Identify customer strategies, needs, pain points, market trends, and the competitive environment to uncover new opportunities or risks for IFF H&B.
- Understand the organizational structure of customers, key decision-makers, strategies, portfolios, performance, and market share, continuously strengthening your network at all levels.
- Develop account plans for key customers with specific growth and defense strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and work closely with demand planning, providing monthly guidance.
- Act as a liaison between customers and IFF’s various departments, meeting service expectations throughout the sales cycle.
- Follow up on customer complaints and requests, coordinating internally for prompt solutions.
- Develop and manage an evergreen opportunity pipeline, focusing on advancing ongoing projects and creating new opportunities with technical and commercial solutions.
- Update opportunities in Salesforce as they progress.
Job qualifications:
- BS in Chemical Engineering or Food Science.
- Brewmaster certification preferred; production experience is a plus.
- Industry and customer knowledge.
- Experience in sales and/or technical service in brewing and distilling industries preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across functions.
- Hunting and entrepreneurial skills.
- Ownership and accountability.
- Ability to travel 50-60% of the time.
Key requirements:
- Background in brewing and distilling, holding a degree in brewing, Food Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- Passion for the brewing and distilling industry with practical understanding of fermented drinks.
- Several years of sales or account management experience with strong business acumen.

You will report to the Food Biosciences Sales Leader for LATAM and work closely with the Application Specialist for Brewing and Distilling in the region. You will manage global and regional accounts, promoting IFF Bioscience, supported by various departments to achieve shared goals.
