Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - SAP FI/CO to bridge Global IT with business stakeholders, driving design and delivery of SAP Finance solutions in a global environment.

You will lead configuration, testing, and documentation, shaping global SAP finance processes while contributing to strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Senior Functional Analyst - SAP FI/CO, you will act as a critical link between Global IT and business stakeholders, driving the design and delivery of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions across a global environment. You will contribute to strategic projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence while helping shape and govern global SAP finance processes.

• Act as the functional lead for SAP FI and SAP CO, ensuring effective integration with related SAP modules including MM, SD, PP, and PS.
• Support end-to-end Account-to-Report processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Projects, Product Costing, and COPA.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate financial and controlling requirements into optimized SAP solutions.
• Perform SAP system configuration, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare functional specifications, solution proposals, test scripts, training materials, and process documentation.
• Support projects through all phases, from requirements gathering to go-live, hypercare, and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure compliance with global design standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and change management processes.
• Provide support for AMS activities, system enhancements, and continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshoot SAP finance and controlling issues, including financial postings, reconciliations, and period-end close activities.
• Support integration initiatives involving banking interfaces, tax solutions, and external reporting systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI and SAP CO, including cross-module integrations.
• Deep understanding of Account-to-Report, Plan-to-Stock, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash process flows.
• Experience with financial closing, asset accounting, costing, and profitability analysis.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and documentation standards.
• Advanced English communication skills. Spanish is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Experience working in a global SAP environment with international and offshore teams preferred.
• Leadership, ownership, and strong collaboration skills across business and technology teams.

Additional Information

• Hybrid On-Site Work Environment (living at São José dos Campos) or 100% Remote (living far from of São José dos Campos region):This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or remote from the location of the candidate. Remote work may also be considered, depending on the candidate’s distance from the Ball office.
