Job summary

Ball Corporation is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst - SAP FI/CO to bridge Global IT and business stakeholders across a global SAP finance landscape. You will drive design, delivery, and governance of SAP finance solutions while contributing to continuous improvements and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust financial processes and compliant controls, while supporting AMS and global initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on SAP FI/CO experience.
• End-to-end SAP finance processes including GL, AP, AR, and COPA.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams and communicate in English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as the functional lead for SAP FI and SAP CO, ensuring integration with MM, SD, PP, and PS.
• Support end-to-end Account-to-Report processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Projects, Product Costing, and COPA.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate financial and controlling requirements into optimized SAP solutions.
• Perform SAP system configuration, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare functional specifications, solution proposals, test scripts, training materials, and process documentation.
• Support projects through all phases, from requirements gathering to go-live, hypercare, and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure compliance with global design standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and change management processes.
• Provide support for AMS activities, system enhancements, and continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshoot SAP finance and controlling issues, including financial postings, reconciliations, and period-end close activities.
• Support integration initiatives involving banking interfaces, tax solutions, and external reporting systems.

• Experience with financial closing, asset accounting, costing, and profitability analysis.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and documentation standards.
• Advanced English communication skills. Spanish is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Experience working in a global SAP environment with international and offshore teams preferred.
• Leadership, ownership, and strong collaboration skills across business and technology teams.

Additional Information

• Hybrid On-Site Work Environment (living at São José dos Campos) or 100% Remote (living far from of São José dos Campos region):This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or remote from the location of the candidate. Remote work may also be considered, depending on the candidate’s distance from the Ball office.
