GSS South America is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to perform the following tasks:

1. Execute period end closing accounting activities within the deadlines (e.g., bookings: payroll, fixed assets, taxes, ERP local system, bank transactions, supplier payments, employee reimbursements).
2. Collaborate with Business Units to identify, prioritize, execute, and document project financials, invoices, and other controlling activities.
3. Ensure the correct statutory reports are submitted within legal deadlines.
4. Support the Tax team with analysis of direct and indirect tax accounts.
5. Analyze the entire accounting process and suggest improvements.
6. Manage the preparation and delivery of management accounts and statutory reports.
7. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis on a monthly basis (suppliers, receivables, payroll, taxes, assets, bank, and intercompany).
8. Apply CPCs/IFRS standards.
9. Perform other accounting duties as assigned and prepare ad-hoc reports.
10. Work in a hybrid model (3 days at the office per week).

Minimum qualifications include:

1. An Accounting Degree.
2. MBA or Post-Graduation is a plus.
3. Active CRC certification.
4. At least 7 years of experience as an Accountant.
5. Knowledge of accounting theories and practices (IFRS, IAS).
6. Experience with SAP/Oracle or equivalent ERP systems.
7. Analytical skills and attention to detail with a process improvement mindset.
8. Effective communication skills with internal customers and the public.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
10. Capacity to work in a dynamic environment with changing demands.
11. Self-driven with team spirit and commitment to ongoing professional development.
12. Ownership, accountability, and adaptability to change.
13. Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Excel (index matching, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.), and MS Forms.
14. Data management and analysis skills, including tools like Power BI, with storytelling ability.
15. Fluent communication in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
