Flatirons seeks a Solutions Architect to support our sales and engineering teams in scoping, designing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This is a client-facing, technical leadership role requiring both exceptional communication skills and deep technical expertise.
In this role, you’ll:
- Pre-Sales Engineering – Partner closely with the sales team to define new projects. You will lead the technical scoping process: meeting with prospective clients, understanding their needs, designing solutions, proposing team structures, estimating costs and timelines, and helping to craft compelling, accurate proposals.
- Post-Sales Architecture Leadership – After a deal is closed, you will work with our delivery teams to provide architectural direction and technical leadership. You will ensure our solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client goals.
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week remote role. Candidates must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) and interact daily with U.S.-based clients. English fluency at a C1 level or higher is required.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGPre-Sales (Sales Engineering):
- Leading technical discovery calls with prospective clients
- Designing software architecture and system design approaches
- Proposing team structures and engagement models for delivery
- Creating accurate timelines, budget estimates, and scoping documents
- Collaborating with the sales team to produce client proposals and SOWs
Post-Sales (Architecture Oversight):
- Providing architectural guidance to engineering teams during implementation
- Reviewing and validating technical solutions before and during development
- Supporting engineers in making tradeoff decisions, refactors, and scaling plans
- Acting as a bridge between the client vision and engineering execution
- Ensuring technical documentation is created and maintained
ABOUT YOU- You live in Latin America
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Tech Lead, or Senior Engineer at a software consultancy
- You are comfortable engaging with U.S.-based clients and leading discovery sessions
- You are able to think strategically about software architecture and pragmatically about delivery timelines and cost
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are able to translate between business and technical domains
- You are self-driven and enjoy shaping internal processes and improving team efficiency
- You care deeply about quality, scalability, and delivering client success
