As a QE developer on the SAP Concur Spend team, you’ll help test, automate, scale, and extend SAP Concur Expense – from provisioning new customers to processing customer terminations, and all their experiences in between.

SAP Concur Expense is the industry-leading platform used by a majority of global top 500 companies to reimburse their employees for expenses incurred while on the job. Our customers demand the best, and you will help ensure they get it by building quality gates between development and production.

What you’ll do

• Passion for quality in all aspects: user experience, scalability, performance, and metrics.
• Work with developers to promote test‑driven design patterns, ensuring quality is a core consideration in everything we deliver.
• Create detailed test designs using both exploratory and scripted testing methods.
• Develop and execute manual and automated tests using industry standard tools and “home‑brew” solutions.
• Become an expert on our software by diving deep into its configuration and use.
• Work in a scrum development project model, attending daily team scrums and supporting weekly production deployments across multiple data centers.
• Participate actively in requirements, design, and feature reviews.
• Collaborate with global Spend QE, support, and product development teams located at other SAP locations such as Vancouver, Seattle, Israel, Germany, France, Prague, and Bengaluru.
• Stay excited about keeping up with technology and changing tools, environments, and an agile engineering process where weekly deployments are the norm.
• Engage in a strong technical environment where all team members, including management, are close to the code and make technical contributions.
• Possibility to grow into a QA release lead who drives weekly releases or transition into one of our development teams.

What you bring

• Formal training in computer programming or a related technical field.
• Ability to solve technical computer problems by writing actual working code; this is a hands‑on position.
• Demonstrated desire and ability to learn new technologies.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Adaptable to change and easy to work with.
• Initiative and a drive to improve yourself, our products, our working environment, and our processes.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as JMeter, Selenium, Cucumber.
• Scripting/programming capability.
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture concepts and approaches, such as continuous delivery, data stores, networking, version control, agile methodologies, AWS, shell scripting.
• Experience with advanced programming languages.
• Experience leading and organizing small teams to accomplish specific goals.
