Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and evolve the architecture of highly complex platforms. You will lead cross‑functional teams, set standards for frontend and mobile development, and drive cloud-native strategies across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, conduct architectural reviews, and ensure governance through ADRs. Strong Java/Spring, microservices, and API governance experience are essential for success.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong expertise in Java/Spring for enterprise systems.
• Experience with distributed architectures, microservices, and resilience patterns.
• Experience designing APIs (REST/GraphQL/gRPC) and governing APIs at scale.
• Knowledge of web technologies (React, Angular, Vue.js) and modern frontend patterns.
• Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/OCI) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Security-by-design experience (OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC) and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture of highly complex solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and maintainability.
• Establish and communicate the long‑term architectural vision aligned with business strategy and the platform’s capabilities.
• Define architectural patterns, frameworks, and software engineering best practices adopted across the organization.
• Lead Proofs of Concept (PoC) and evaluations of new technologies, providing recommendations based on trade‑offs.
• Produce Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) and document significant technical decisions for traceability and governance.
• Define the architecture of modern web applications, setting standards for componentization, state management, performance, and accessibility (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Architect cross‑platform and native mobile solutions, defining navigation patterns, state management, API communication, and offline experience (React Native, Flutter, or Swift/Kotlin).
• Ensure consistency of design systems and user experience (UX) between web and mobile platforms, collaborating with product and design teams.
• Define performance and optimization strategies for web and mobile applications.
• Establish frontend‑ and mobile‑specific security standards: secure storage, API communication, authentication (OAuth2/OIDC), and protection against OWASP Mobile Top 10 threats.
• Guide the team in defining testing strategies for frontend and mobile layers: unit, integration, and end‑to‑end (Cypress, Detox, Appium) and accessibility testing.
• Technically lead multidisciplinary squads, mentoring mid‑level architects and senior developers across backend, web, and mobile layers.
• Conduct code reviews and architectural reviews with focus on quality, security, performance, and adherence to defined standards.
• Act as a mentor to professionals in the area, fostering the team’s technical growth and a culture of engineering excellence.
• Serve as an escalation point for critical technical decisions, resolution of complex problems, and production incident situations.
• Define and evolve the strategy of the internal development platform (IDP), ensuring that tools, standards, and workflows serve the entire engineering organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years working on architecture for medium‑ and large‑scale systems.
• Proven track record as a technical reference within engineering teams, with measurable impact on quality, velocity, and scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in Java/Spring for high‑criticality enterprise systems, including Oracle/PLSQL, SOAP/REST integrations, and messaging (Kafka, JMS).
• Deep experience in distributed architectures, microservices, event‑driven systems, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and resilience patterns (circuit breaker, retry, outbox).
• Experience designing APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and governing APIs at scale.
• Advanced knowledge of relational and non‑relational databases, query tuning, and persistence strategies in distributed systems.
• Experience in architecting modern web applications with React, Angular, or Vue.js, including micro‑frontends, SSR/SSG (Next.js, Nuxt.js), and design systems.
• Knowledge of web performance (Web Vitals, PWA, lazy loading, code splitting) and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Familiarity with modern build and bundling tools: Vite, Webpack, or Turbopack.
• Experience in architecting cross‑platform mobile applications with React Native or Flutter, and/or native apps (Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android).
• Knowledge of state management (Redux, Zustand, MobX, Riverpod), offline‑first communication patterns, caching, and data synchronization.
• Familiarity with App Store and Google Play publication pipelines, including distribution via CI/CD (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
• Advanced experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or OCI), including design of cloud‑native, serverless, and containerized solutions.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps (ArgoCD, FluxCD) in high‑availability production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible; and advanced deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary, Feature Flags).
• Experience defining strategy and implementing an IDP with Backstage (CNCF): Software Catalog, TechDocs, Scaffolder, plugins, and integration with the corporate toolchain.
• Platform engineering mindset: golden paths, developer experience (DevEx), self‑service, and platform governance at scale.
• Security‑by‑design experience: OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, threat modeling, OWASP Web and Mobile Top 10, SAST/DAST, and regulatory compliance (LGPD, PCI‑DSS).
• Proficiency in observability: New Relic, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger).
• Ability to make complex technical decisions autonomously, grounded in data and aligned with business objectives.
• Ability to communicate trade‑offs and technical recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) with focus on delivering value and continuous improvement.
