Senior Technical Solutions Engineer - Platform

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you will provide technical support for Databricks Platform-related issues and resolve challenges involving the Databricks unified analytics platform. You will assist customers in their Databricks journey, providing guidance and knowledge to help them achieve value and meet their strategic goals using our products. You will address questions ranging from basic technical inquiries to complex architectural scenarios across the Big Data ecosystem. You will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Solutions. This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days in the office weekly.

The impact you will have:

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues related to the Databricks platform.
• Provide best practices support for custom solutions developed by Databricks customers.
• Suggest performance improvements tailored to customer environments.
• Assist with third-party integrations with the Databricks environment.
• Coordinate with engineering and escalation teams to resolve customer issues and requests.
• Create and maintain company documentation and knowledge articles.
• Advocate for customer needs and feedback.
• Enhance your AWS/Azure and Databricks platform expertise through ongoing learning and training.
• Participate in weekend and weekday on-call rotations.

What we look for:

• Minimum 3 years' experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining Python/Java/Scala applications; expert-level Python knowledge is preferred.
• Solid experience with SQL-based databases.
• At least 2 years of experience with Hadoop/Spark in an administrative, development, or support role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Experience working in a distributed Big Data computing environment.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
