As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and programming our backend systems. We seek a creative problem solver who can think outside the box and thrive in a fast-moving, innovative environment. You will contribute to growing the next generation of architects and be instrumental in expanding our team.

What You'll Do

1. Drive technical decisions aligning with the product roadmap and company growth.
2. Collaborate with the engineering team to design a modern, scalable technical architecture and actively contribute as a developer.
3. Assess high-level product features for technical feasibility and provide recommendations.
4. Perform technical due diligence on potential partners and third-party vendors for integration.
5. Load and performance test applications, identifying optimization opportunities across the technology stack.
6. Mentor junior developers, set development schedules, delegate tasks, and review code.
7. Develop and enforce engineering standards and best practices.
8. Work closely with backend and frontend engineers.
9. Participate in brainstorming and scoping sessions, providing feedback.

You're a Great Fit if You Have:

• Ability to work core hours of 9am-1pm PT (UTC-8:00/-7:00)
• 7+ years of software development experience, with proficiency in Golang, Swift, and Kotlin.
• Extensive experience across all application layers: data, business logic, UI development.
• Proficiency with Git, unit and integration testing, load and performance testing.
• Experience with AI-LLM powered development tools.
• Knowledge of distributed architecture, containerization, event streaming, and microservices.
• Adherence to database best practices, with experience in PostgreSQL.
• Experience in API development, database, and middle-tier design.
• Experience with Test Driven Development, mocking frameworks, dependency injection.
• Business-level English proficiency and the ability to communicate technical challenges clearly.

You're an All-Star if You Have:

• Mobile (iOS/Android) experience.
• Experience with AWS services.
