IBM Consulting in Brazil seeks a Senior Project Manager for SAP S/4HANA implementations and global rollout programs. You will lead end-to-end delivery, from initiation through stabilization, coordinating cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget outcomes.

Role requires extensive SAP project management experience, strong vendor and stakeholder management, and fluent English. This position is on-site in Brazil with international collaboration.

Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA, you will lead SAP S/4HANA implementation and rollout projects from initiation through delivery and stabilization, ensuring successful project execution aligned with business objectives, scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Lead SAP S/4HANA Projects: Lead and oversee SAP S/4HANA implementation and global rollout activities from initiation through go-live and stabilization, ensuring successful project delivery.

Develop and Execute Project Plans: Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, resources, budget, dependencies, risks, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Lead and coordinate cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, including functional and technical SAP teams, IT, business stakeholders, and other project contributors, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.

Manage Client Relationships: Act as a key point of contact for the client, building and maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders, understanding business needs and expectations, managing communications, and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage Stakeholders and Resolve Conflicts: Identify and manage key stakeholders, proactively address issues and conflicts, and promote alignment between business, technology, global, and local teams.

Manage Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, including contracts, deliverables, performance, dependencies, and escalations, ensuring adherence to project commitments, quality standards, and timelines.

Ensure Quality and Project Delivery: Coordinate and monitor testing, quality assurance, cutover, go-live, and stabilization activities, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and agreed quality standards.

Communicate Project Progress: Lead project status meetings and communicate project progress, risks, issues, changes, dependencies, and decisions to client, business, technology, and senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective governance.

Ensure Global and Local Alignment: Coordinate global and local teams throughout the rollout, ensuring alignment with the global template, business requirements, project standards, and local needs.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Solid experience as an SAP Project Manager, leading large-scale SAP implementation projects;
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA projects, including SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration programs;
• Solid experience with SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration programs, involving multiple environments, high volumes of customizations, complex integrations, and diverse regulatory requirements;
• Proven experience managing cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, including SAP, IT, business, and other project stakeholders;
• Proven stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills in complex environments, promoting alignment between business and technology teams;
• Strong client relationship management experience, acting as a key point of contact and managing client expectations, needs, and priorities throughout the project lifecycle;
• Proven experience managing vendors and contracts, ensuring adherence to project deliverables, timelines, quality standards, and commitments;
• Strong project planning and execution skills, including scope, schedule, milestones, resource allocation, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables management;
• Strong end-to-end understanding of business processes, with the ability to assess end-to-end impacts and define sustainable and scalable solutions;
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Proven experience in ensuring quality assurance and testing of SAP S/4HANA solutions to meet business objectives and customer needs;
• Fluent English, for interaction with global teams and international stakeholders;
• Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• SAP HANA Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of SAP HANA products, including their features, functionality, and implementation best practices. Experience with SAP HANA product roadmaps and release cycles will be considered a plus;
• Agile Project Management Methodologies: Familiarity with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience applying these methodologies to SAP HANA implementation projects;
• IT Service Management: Knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, and experience applying these frameworks to ensure high-quality SAP HANA solutions and services;
• Experience with global SAP rollout programs, involving multiple countries, cultures, and operating models.
