SAP is seeking an Expert Development Architect in São Leopoldo for hybrid work. You will own end-to-end technical direction for agentic AI solutions built on BTP, guiding engagements from PoC to enterprise delivery.

Lead multi-agent architecture, establish reusable reference patterns, and drive governance across SAP AI Core and S/4HANA integrations. Strong leadership in cloud-native environments, with experience in AI QA, responsible AI, and stakeholder communication.

Qualificações

• Experience with SAP BTP components (CAP, AI Core, AI Launchpad, Joule, Integration Suite) in production.

What you'll build

As an Expert Development Architect, you will own the end-to-end technical direction for agentic AI solutions built on BTP, guiding a portfolio of customer engagements from initial proof of concept through enterprise-grade delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Lead agentic architecture design: Define multi-agent orchestration patterns, tool-use strategies, LLM grounding approaches, and end-to-end autonomous workflow designs tailored to S/4HANA business processes.
• Own reference architectures: Establish reusable architectural patterns and golden paths for BTP extensions, integrating S/4HANA modules, SAP AI Core, SAP Integration Suite, and public cloud services.
• Drive customer engagements: Guide complex initiatives from use-case discovery and scoping through PoC delivery and production rollout, acting as the primary technical authority alongside customer architects and stakeholders.
• Establish engineering standards: Define guardrails, CI/CD practices, observability standards, and responsible AI guidelines for the development team.
• Translate S/4HANA process depth into AI solutions: Connect the semantic richness of S/4HANA core modules (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing) to agentic use cases with measurable business impact.
• Mentor and grow the team: Conduct architecture reviews, elevate technical quality, and support engineers in navigating the complexity of enterprise AI development.
• Influence the SAP ecosystem: Provide architectural feedback to SAP product teams and engage with the broader BTP and AI Core communities to bring external perspectives in.

What you bring

You bring proven capability in both modern AI engineering and the SAP enterprise landscape, with a track record that reflects the depth and breadth expected at the expert level.

• S/4HANA module knowledge: Solid understanding of at least two core S/4HANA functional areas (Finance/FI-CO, Procurement/MM, Supply Chain/SD/WM, or Manufacturing/PP), with a clear grasp of how data flows, where process boundaries lie, and how to extend the platform without disrupting core system integrity.
• Technical leadership: Demonstrated ability to shape architecture decisions, define engineering standards, and drive technical direction across cross-functional teams.
• SAP BTP: Basic experience with CAP, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, Joule, Integration Suite, and BTP extension patterns in production settings, including integrations with non-SAP systems.
• Agentic AI development: Hands-on experience designing and building production agentic systems, including multi-agent orchestration, LLM-backed workflows, RAG and GraphRAG pipelines, semantic retrieval and context engineering, Knowledge Graphs, vector databases, tool calling, MCP patterns, and agent evaluation frameworks.

You also bring:

• Extensive experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture, with significant involvement in customer-facing delivery and complex SAP landscapes.
• Cloud-native depth, including Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, DevSecOps, MLOps, infrastructure as code, cloud security architecture, observability stacks, and hands-on experience with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in AI output quality assurance, evaluation practices, and responsible AI, with the ability to assess whether an agentic system is functioning correctly and safely.
• The ability to engage executive and senior stakeholder audiences, translating complex technical trade-offs into clear business decisions.
• Intellectual curiosity and adaptability, with the discipline to track developments in a fast-moving field, experiment deliberately, and incorporate what proves effective.
• Fluent Portuguese, Professional English, and Professional Spanish.

Nice to Have

• Thought leadership demonstrated through patents, publications, conference presentations, or open-source contributions.
• Experience building reusable platforms, accelerators, or enterprise engineering frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulated industries and enterprise governance models.
• A habit of proactively leveraging AI in day-to-day workflows, not only in the solutions delivered.
