Volvo Group Brazil is seeking a Project Manager in the SPE function to translate strategy into execution across the FSDV portfolio in Curitiba. You will lead cross-functional engineering teams, balancing scope, time, cost, and quality, and communicate status to governance bodies.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong PM experience (agile and waterfall); leadership, planning, communication, stakeholder management
• Experience in embedded systems (software and hardware) development
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Automotive knowledge – understanding how different systems in a truck/car interact and work together

What You Will Do

Strategy & Portfolio Execution (SPE)

is part of Function & Software Defined Vehicles (FSDV) and plays a key role in translating strategy into execution. The team drives portfolio management, project governance, resource planning, and operational excellence, enabling cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative software and vehicle solutions that create customer and business value.

As Project Manager At SPE Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Manage Projects in Curitiba/Global FSDV's portfolio.
• Work closely with engineers in different streams to provide a complete solution and consolidated view from FSDV. You will need to communicate at different levels within the organization.
• Secure clear scope and requirements and manage balancing activities if needed. To do this, you need to have a good understanding of the business value and project drivers.
• Be able to work in both waterfall and agile environments.
• Define and communicate time plans, milestones, and integration points.
• Manage breakdowns and refinements with impacted streams.
• Support/manage quality investigations in the department.
• With help from stream portfolio manager, manage and govern the project cost.
• Ensure that deliveries and releases are performed in line with agreed plans, quality, and cost targets.
• Present project status in FSDV in different governance forums.
• Manage risks and deviations.

Relevant Experience

In This Role, You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in a project management position (agile and waterfall). Good skills in leadership, planning, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in embedded systems (software and hardware) development.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Automotive knowledge – understanding how different systems in a truck/car interact and work together.

Meritorious to Have

• International and multi-cultural experience with a global organization.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, DVP and requirement tools.
• PMP Certification.
• A solid technical foundation in software development in general and hardware (electronics).
• Experience in supplier management is beneficial.
