This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for aSenior/Mid Level Data Developer based in Brazil.

This role sits at the core of a large-scale digital transformation initiative in the telecommunications sector, where data is the foundation for intelligent and automated customer interactions. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining asynchronous, event-driven data pipelines that connect multiple customer touchpoints—such as voice, WhatsApp, and mobile apps to AI-powered systems and analytical platforms. The position requires strong technical depth in data engineering, combined with a solid understanding of streaming architectures, governance, and regulatory compliance. You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside engineers, data scientists, and architects, ensuring that every event is reliably captured, processed, and made available for both operational and analytical use cases. This is a hands‑on role with direct impact on system reliability, scalability, and data integrity in high-volume environments.

Accountabilities:

You will be responsible for building and evolving robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines that enable real‑time and batch processing of high-volume interaction data. Your work will ensure that data flows across systems are reliable, traceable, and compliant with governance and privacy standards.

• Design, build, and maintain asynchronous event-driven data pipelines connecting customer channels and AI systems
• Develop resilient, idempotent event consumers capable of handling retries and failure scenarios
• Model and evolve data schemas for interaction events with strong focus on auditability and traceability
• Manage storage and persistence layers for transactional and analytical data, ensuring performance and scalability
• Optimize query performance through partitioning, indexing, and lifecycle management strategies
• Build and maintain real-time streaming and ingestion solutions for event processing
• Ensure LGPD compliance through masking, anonymization, and access control for sensitive data
• Document data schemas, pipelines, and architectural decisions to support long-term platform evolution
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align data infrastructure with AI and product requirements

Requirements

You should bring strong experience in data engineering, with the ability to design scalable pipelines and work in distributed, event-driven architectures. A strong command of SQL, Python, and cloud platforms is essential, along with a mindset focused on reliability, governance, and performance.

• Proven experience as a Data Developer or Data Engineer in production environments
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and transformation workflows
• Experience with event-driven and transactional data modeling
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI) and managed data services
• Experience with streaming or real‑time data processing systems
• Familiarity with AI, ML, or automated customer interaction systems is a plus
• Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., LGPD)
• Ability to balance technical design, business needs, and data governance constraints
• Experience in high‑volume, distributed data environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of caching systems (e.g., Redis) and observability tools is a plus
