The Head of Sales Operations will lead and execute consistent sales methods, processes, and tools for the sales team. He/she will lead the country’s monthly sales operating rhythm process and tools. He/she will oversee the sales information dashboard and sales efficiency through sales route efficiency and routines. Sales operations will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our sales operations and processes, helping to maximize revenue and profitability. He/she is also responsible for deploying and controlling the merchandising team alongside a third-party agency.
Top Accountabilities
- Operating Discipline: Oversees the annual sales planning process and monthly operating rhythm. Manages/Develops a standardized Sales/Customer Calendar, Annual Account Planning Cadence, and Monthly Selling Operating Imperatives for the Business Segment. Collaborates with customer marketing on the required metrics and KPIs to run an omni-channel business. Actively manages tracking of sales metrics/KPIs. Ensures all sales teams are aligned and working towards common goals. Manages the sales dashboard and market communications, ensuring all stakeholders are up-to-date on sales performance and market trends.
- Sales Policy, Procedures, and Administration: Coordinates the development and maintenance of centralized selling resources, contract process management, customer distribution lists, and collateral (e.g., customer contact list, customer calendar, pricing files, sales policies). Enforces sales policies and procedures, including new customer setup and customer-specific SKUs.
- Drive Sales Efficiency and Cost to Serve: Identifies and implements sales process improvements and best practices. Measures sales team efficiency in terms of sales routes, line productivity, and cost to serve. Develops and maintains sales tools and frameworks, such as sales playbooks, templates, and training materials, to support the sales team in achieving their targets.
- Merchandising Resources Deployment: Deploys and controls the resources of the merchandising team, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and maximum value in store execution. Sets and reviews store and customer support needs. Responsible for merchandiser training, KPIs, and performance in conjunction with the agency. Leads third-party agency service levels, commercial agreements, and investments.
Experience & Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of improving sales efficiency and cost to serve.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with sales processes and tools, including CRM systems and sales automation tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for driving sales efficiency and cost reduction.
- Experience managing third parties, contracts, and legal agreements.
- Experience with sales automation to enhance cost efficiency.
