Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil, seeks an experienced Mainframe Support Specialist to provide technical support for critical IBM z/OS applications, monitor availability, and resolve incidents rapidly. You will analyze problems, perform RCA, and implement preventive actions to improve stability.

Required COBOL, DB2, CICS knowledge, ITIL familiarity, and the ability to work night shifts in a 24x7 global environment. You will collaborate with Dev, Infra and Business teams across regions to meet SLAs.

Qualificações

• Strong experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.
• Advanced knowledge of: JCL; SDSF; JES2 or JES3; TSO/ISPF; Control‑M or a similar scheduling tool.
• Experience supporting critical production systems in a 24x7 environment.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex incidents.
• Knowledge of: COBOL (code analysis and reading); DB2 / SQL; CICS.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and practices.
• Analytical skills, a sense of urgency, and a problem‑solving focus.
• Availability to work night shifts.
• Intermediate or advanced Spanish and English for communication in a global environment.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with SLAs established for global operations.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to increase system stability and performance.
