Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil seeks an experienced .NET Engineer to develop and evolve high-performance, secure financial applications. You will design microservices, implement robust data access with EF Core, and lead modernization of legacy components while collaborating with product, QA, and infrastructure teams.

The role requires banking sector experience, strong expertise in .NET Core 8, and hands-on work with messaging systems and cloud services.

Qualificações

• Experience developing applications with .NET Core 8 focusing on modern architecture, performance and scalability.
• Banking or financial sector experience.
• Experience maintaining and evolving legacy systems based on .NET Framework.
• Designing and developing microservices with inter-service communication, authentication, observability and decoupling best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Entity Framework / EF Core including mapping, query optimization and domain modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle databases and relational data modeling.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra.
• Familiarity with AWS services for .NET and microservices (Lambda, ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, KMS).
• Experience with Azure DevOps including pipelines, boards, repositories and CI/CD automation.
• Knowledge of batch processing and large-scale task scheduling.
• Experience with Git and versioning best practices; engineering best practices (SOLID, Clean Code, DDD).
• Competencies in application security including API protection, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, secure token management, TLS and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the design and definition of system architecture, proposing scalable solutions aligned with engineering best practices.

• Conduct code reviews, support the team in technical decisions and promote development best practices.
• Ensure delivery quality through automated tests, proper versioning practices and clear documentation.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues, identify root causes and propose long‑term improvements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (product, QA, infrastructure, data) to ensure consistent deliveries aligned with strategic objectives.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to planning, estimation and technical prioritization.
• Support modernization initiatives, refactoring of legacy components and evolution of existing architectures.

Requirements

• Strong experience developing applications using .NET Core 8, with a focus on modern architecture, performance and scalability.
• Required experience in the banking or financial sector.
• Experience in maintenance and evolution of legacy systems based on .NET Framework.
• Expertise in designing and developing microservices architecture, including inter‑service communication, authentication, observability and decoupling best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core, including mapping, query optimization and domain modeling.
• Hands‑on experience with messaging systems, including:
  • Kafka (streams, distributed processing, event‑driven architectures)
  • RabbitMQ (queues, exchanges, routing patterns and asynchronous communication)
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle databases and relational data modeling.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra or equivalents).
• Familiarity with AWS, especially services applicable to the .NET and microservices ecosystem (Lambda, ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, KMS, Rekognition, etc.).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including pipelines, boards, repositories and CI/CD automation.
• Knowledge and practice with batch routines, asynchronous processing and large‑scale task scheduling.
• Experience with Git and versioning best practices, analytical skills, knowledge of engineering best practices (SOLID, Clean Code, DDD).
• Additionally, it is desirable for the professional to have competencies in application security, including API protection practices, access control, authentication/authorization, use of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, secure token management and best practices to protect against common vulnerabilities (OWASP). They should know symmetric and asymmetric encryption techniques, secure hashing, digital certification, proper use of TLS and protection of sensitive data both in transit and at rest. Proficiency with security‑focused tools, frameworks and patterns is an important differential.
