We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to serve as a technical lead for our data science team within the AI business unit. This role supports Blackpoint’s cybersecurity mission, helping to stop cyber-attacks and safeguard our growing customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance Blackpoint Cyber’s data science solutions to support AI product development.
• Report directly to the Head of Artificial Intelligence.
• Define, train, and evaluate machine learning models.
• Design algorithms for data ingestion, wrangling, and transformation.
• Perform feature engineering and statistical analysis.
• Deploy scalable models and feature pipelines as containerized solutions.
• Develop dashboards and utilities for model monitoring and governance.
• Contribute to AI architecture and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, SOC, and APG.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on Data Science experience with a proven track record of deploying AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of system architecture for efficiency, security, and performance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Technical Skills:

• Cloud ML development (AWS, SageMaker, EMR, Spark, Airflow)
• Data wrangling and feature engineering (Feature Store, Pipelines)
• Model deployment and inference streaming
• Scripting (Python, Bash), Query languages (SQL, Ksql)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• MLOps workflows (MLFlow)

Preferred Skills:

• Time-Series Analysis, Transformer Neural Nets
• Experience with Agile Scrum, programming in Scala or Java
• Cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP experience
