EdgeUno is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and improve our on-prem data-center infrastructure. You will focus on Proxmox-based virtualization, Linux system administration, and automation to scale operations across multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong networking fundamentals, and fluency in English. You will collaborate with developers, network, and cloud engineers and contribute to automation and disaster recovery planning.

Qualificações

• English at B2 level or above.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience supporting 24x7 high availability environments, servers, load balancing systems, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Strong background in Linux system administration.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with Proxmox or other virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM).
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and managing containerized services.
• Familiarity with GitLab and version control practices.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana stack, or similar).
• Ability to learn new tools through documentation and apply them independently.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.)
• Manage and scale our on-premise virtualization environment using Proxmox
• Maintain backups and ensure consistency across multiple datacenter environments
• Support internal teams with user and service-level adjustments
• Automate infrastructure operations using Ansible, Terraform, or Bash scripting
• Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices to ensure repeatability and stability across environments
• Contribute to incremental improvements in infrastructure and automation
• Configure and support services such as reverse proxies, firewalls, and virtualized networks
• Monitor systems and strengthen observability practices using Grafana, Prometheus, and Telegraf
• Identify system bottlenecks and perform root cause analysis on incidents
• Help implement proactive alerting, performance tuning, and capacity planning strategies
• Contribute to architectural decisions for new systems, virtualization expansion, and datacenter upgrades
• Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and cloud engineers to integrate systems effectively
• Document system configurations, procedures, and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and disaster recovery preparedness

Role Overview

At EdgeUno, we are looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to help us manage and improve our infrastructure across multiple on-premises data centers. This role is critical to support our global operations, with a strong emphasis on Proxmox-based virtualization, Linux systems administration, and monitoring in on-prem environments. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in troubleshooting Linux systems, has strong foundational knowledge in infrastructure and networking, and enjoys automating repetitive tasks using tools like Ansible or Terraform.

About the Role

You will operate and scale the virtualization and Linux environments that run across our data centers, working closely with our team to support internal systems and contribute to incremental improvements through automation and scripting. The position is embedded in a 24x7 high availability context and requires close collaboration with developers, network engineers, and cloud engineers, as well as consistent documentation practices to support knowledge sharing and disaster recovery preparedness.

Core Responsibilities

Systems & Virtualization Operations
