Job summary

Acteon’s Geo-services business line, UTEC, is seeking a Senior Buyer based in the Rio de Janeiro area to lead strategic and complex procurement for materials, equipment and services critical to operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, 6+ years of experience in procurement, advanced English, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience in oil & gas and with Petrobras is preferred.

• Advanced English skills (spoken and written)
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a similar role in procurement
• Experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience providing customer service/support to Petrobras
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, works well with others
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
• Ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and precision

Responsibilities

• Negotiate purchases of spare parts, components, consumables and services to meet project demands per company procedures
• Develop and qualify new suppliers for strategic procurement.
• Issue NDAs and other internal documents for critical suppliers.
• Create and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in the Business Central system.
• Manage and respond to purchase requisitions generated by projects.
• Negotiate pricing agreements and small contracts for recurring materials and services.
• Procure facilities-related services and supplies.

UTEC is looking to add a qualified Senior Buyer to the team. The Senior Buyer will lead strategic and complex procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services essential to operations, ensuring quality, competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company’s operational and financial objectives through effective supplier management and high-value negotiations.

The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.

Duties

• Negotiate the purchase of items such as spare parts, components, consumables, and services to meet project demands, in accordance with company procedures
