Jobtailor is seeking a skilled backend engineer in Brazil to design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js and NestJS. You will work on cloud infrastructure, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and implement CI/CD pipelines while ensuring high performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers, shaping architecture decisions and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience with NestJS (modules, providers, decorators, guards, interceptors, and pipes).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and asynchronous communication (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS).
• Experience with automated testing (unit and integration testing—Jest or similar).
• Knowledge of Docker and application containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Version control with Git.
• Autonomy and ownership, excellent communication, collaboration, and proactive mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Kubernetes; IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi); observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch); event-driven architecture; cloud certifications; GraphQL; high-scale environments/financial systems

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain scalable, secure APIs and microservices using Node.js and NestJS.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Participate in architecture decisions and propose scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and documented code following SOLID, Clean Code, and design patterns.
• Work on CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to containerize and orchestrate services.
• Monitor production apps using logs, metrics, and alerts; respond to incidents.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and infra teams to continuously deliver value.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements for scalability and resilience.
