A multinational company is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join its finance team in São Paulo.
We are seeking an analytical professional with previous experience in an accounting firm or accounting services company, strong knowledge of accounting routines, and solid experience preparing and reviewing financial and accounting reports.
The professional will have regular contact with international teams, so a good command of English is essential for meetings, discussions, and daily communication.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze accounting and financial reports;
- Consolidate financial information and ensure the accuracy of reported data;
- Analyze account balances, variances, and inconsistencies;
- Perform accounting reconciliations and investigate discrepancies;
- Support monthly and annual closing activities;
- Prepare journal entries, provisions, accruals, and reclassifications;
- Review balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger accounts;
- Organize financial information for local and international teams;
- Prepare reports and supporting materials for meetings with global stakeholders;
- Participate actively in meetings conducted in English;
- Work closely with internal departments and external accounting partners;
- Support internal and external audits;
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian accounting standards and internal procedures;
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting controls, reports, and routines.
Required experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
- Previous professional experience in an accounting firm, accounting services company, or BPO environment;
- Solid experience preparing, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial reports;
- Experience with monthly closing, accounting reconciliations, provisions, journal entries, and general ledger;
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify inconsistencies, and explain results clearly;
- Knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards and routines;
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Experience with ERP systems;
- English at a B2 - Upper-intermediate level or above, with the ability to participate actively in meetings and communicate with international teams;
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting multinational clients or international operations;
- Experience communicating directly with clients or global stakeholders;
- Knowledge of IFRS;
- Experience with financial statements and management reports;
- Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools.
Hybrid position, with four days per week working from the office in Vila Madalena, São Paulo, and one remote day.
Salary: up to BRL 8,000 gross per month under a CLT contract, plus benefits.
