Jobtailor is seeking an experienced security/network engineer to analyze and design firewall and network solutions for enterprise environments. You will assess external options, align proposals with client architecture, and document configurations and policies across cloud and on-premises deployments.

The role requires deep security expertise, strong documentation skills, and ability to work well in high-performing teams, with hands-on work across Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, and cloud

Qualificações

• University or equivalent degree in IT/Telecommunications or related field.
• Relevant courses and certifications in Security/Networking.
• Experience installing, configuring, and administering firewalls in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Knowledge of firewall policies (NAT, rules, objects) and VPNs.
• Experience with SSL inspection, web filtering, and application control.
• HA configurations and advanced troubleshooting with logs and captures.
• Strong documentation skills for operational processes.

• Conduct analysis of externally available alternatives to meet detailed technical requirements for security and network infrastructure
• Propose alternatives aligned with the client's architecture and according to best practices
• Participate in meetings, gather requirements from clients, produce technical specifications, prepare documentation, and apply configurations and rules on firewall devices and network switches
• University degree in IT/Telecommunications-related fields
• Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX)
• Knowledge of ITSM ticket management tools is desirable (HPSM, Remedy)

Requirements

• Preferably hold a university degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems
• Relevant courses and certifications in Security/Networking
• Installation, configuration and administration of firewalls (Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper) in cloud and on-premises environments
• Expected knowledge: firewall policies (NAT, rules, objects)
• VPNs (site-to-site and IPSec VPNs for clients)
• SSL inspection, web filtering, application control
• High Availability (HA) configurations
• Troubleshooting using logs, packet captures and flow tracing
• Effective analysis of communication flows and security issues in complex environments
• Ability to work effectively in high-performing teams
• Minimum 8 years' experience working with enterprise security infrastructure and support tools
• Excellent documentation skills for operational technical processes and procedures
• Deep operational knowledge of AWS and Azure
