Qualificações

• Ensure clean core compliance and API extensibility with scalable design.
• Oversee architecture reviews, code reviews, ATC checks, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business needs into SAP solutions.
• Support presales activities, including workshops, effort estimates, and technical proposals.
• Promote AI-augmented SAP development and developer productivity.
• Establish knowledge-sharing and cross-country collaboration within SAP engineering.

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Engineering Manager to lead and grow high-performing SAP engineering teams, drive enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs, and define modern SAP development standards across complex client landscapes.

This role is ideal for a senior SAP technology professional with a strong background in SAP ABAP, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, enterprise architecture, clean core principles, and technical governance. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical credibility with strong people leadership, delivery ownership, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders across international environments.

You will play a key role in shaping SAP engineering strategy, leading distributed teams, supporting S/4HANA transformation and modernization programs, and promoting innovation through modern development practices, automation, DevOps, and AI-augmented SAP solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow distributed SAP engineering teams composed of senior developers, architects, consultants, and team leads working across multiple locations
• Define and govern SAP architecture standards, development guidelines, coding practices, and technical delivery frameworks to ensure consistency and quality
• Drive enterprise-scale SAP transformation efforts, including S/4HANA implementations, ECC modernization, ABAP Cloud adoption, and BTP extension initiatives
• Provide technical leadership across modern SAP technologies such as ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData v2/v4, SAP Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP
• Ensure clean core compliance, proper use of released APIs, extensibility best practices, and scalable enterprise solution design
• Oversee technical delivery quality through architecture reviews, code reviews, ATC checks, DevOps practices, and reusable engineering standards
• Collaborate with clients, delivery leadership, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust SAP technology solutions
• Support presales and solutioning activities, including customer workshops, effort estimation, technical proposals, and executive-level presentations
• Promote innovation in SAP engineering through AI-assisted development, automation, developer productivity improvements, and modern engineering practices
• Establish knowledge-sharing practices, mentoring programs, and cross-country collaboration models to strengthen SAP engineering capability

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of relevant work experience in SAP engineering, SAP development, enterprise architecture, or technical delivery leadership
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience leading SAP development or engineering organizations, including team leads, senior consultants, architects, and distributed delivery teams
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP, ideally covering classical ABAP, ABAP Objects, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, OData, and S/4HANA development
• Solid understanding of SAP BTP, side-by-side extensibility, clean core strategy, released APIs, and modern SAP extension patterns
• Practical experience with SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, CDS-based service exposure, integration architecture, and enterprise system landscapes
• Strong background in SAP transformation programs, S/4HANA implementations, ECC modernization, system upgrades, or large-scale integration projects
• Experience establishing technical governance, architecture standards, and code quality practices such as ABAP Clean Code, ATC rules, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to engage effectively with senior client stakeholders, delivery leadership, business representatives, and cross-functional teams
• Strong people management skills, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, team development, and leadership of multicultural teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English at an Advanced level (C1+)

Nice to have

• German language proficiency, which is a strong advantage for engaging with clients across the DACH region
• Experience in presales, solution design, estimation, technical consulting, or delivering executive-level presentations
• Interest or hands-on experience in AI-augmented SAP development, automation, developer productivity tools, or broader innovation initiatives
