We are looking for a Lead SAP ABAP/BTP Developer to take part in a strategic SAP S/4HANA implementation project built on a Greenfield approach. The professional will take ownership of developing solid solutions in line with Clean Core principles, with particular emphasis on modern technologies across the SAP ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build ABAP solutions designed specifically for the S/4HANA environment
- Architect and implement applications through the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), a core requirement for this position
- Create and fine-tune OData services, spanning both V2 and V4
- Handle advanced CDS Views, including annotations, associations, and extensions
- Implement performance best practices suited to SAP HANA
- Guarantee compliance with Clean Core principles, incorporating In-App and Side-by-Side extensibility as needed
- Take part in technical decision‑making and help shape solution architecture
- Review and address findings from code quality tools like ATC, while offering technical guidance throughout testing and go‑live phases
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in ABAP development
- A minimum of one year of experience leading and overseeing development teams
- Demonstrated experience working on SAP S/4HANA projects
- Thorough knowledge of the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
- Experience working with CDS Views (Core Data Services)
- Experience working with OData Services, particularly V4
- Strong expertise in performance tuning for SAP HANA
- Experience using code quality tools, such as ATC and Code Inspector
- Familiarity with Clean Core principles
- Strong written and spoken proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience participating in Greenfield projects
- Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
- Experience with Fiori for developing user interfaces
- Familiarity with In-App and Side‑by‑Side extensibility methods
- Familiarity with Integration Suite for handling integrations within the SAP ecosystem
