Amazon is looking for an experienced and driven Marketplace Team Lead to recruit sellers in the new Amazon marketplace in Brazil. The Team Lead will build strong relationships with medium and large sellers and manufacturers, aiming to prospect, qualify, and close high-potential sellers that offer key and competitive selection, pricing, and availability. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist sellers in launching on Amazon by ensuring mastery of catalogue, pricing, and other tools.

The Team Lead will also drive projects, set processes within their team, and advocate for their category—enhancing discovery and purchase experiences, expanding selection, and executing long-term strategic initiatives. Collaboration with stakeholders across Amazon locally and internationally is essential.

Responsibilities Include

  • Setting selection strategy and managing seller management teams
  • Prioritizing and managing a pipeline of sellers to meet or exceed targets
  • Educating new merchants about Amazon’s standards of Delivery and Customer Experience
  • Identifying and acquiring sellers/manufacturers to enhance category selection and brands
  • Driving innovation to improve customer experience, scale categories, and strengthen seller relationships
  • Providing insights and advice to new sellers to optimize their success on Amazon
  • Collaborating with central teams in Technology, Operations, and Merchant Services to optimize processes and resources

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS required
  • Excellent business discernment with strong communication skills in English and Portuguese
  • Minimum of 6 years in buying, account management, or product management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Influencing skills inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with prioritization and delegation
  • Proven ownership and execution in both tactical and strategic activities
  • Willingness to be hands-on
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and autonomous in achieving targets

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree preferred
  • High-level critical thinking and external partnership skills
  • Experience in relevant categories in e-commerce
  • Proficiency with relevant systems
