SWI in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is seeking an RF Data Collection / Drive Tester Engineer to perform field measurements, drive tests, and satellite mobility evaluations. You will use TEMS/Nemo/QualiPoc platforms, calibrate RF scanners, and capture KPIs such as RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, and throughput across urban environments.
.Role requires hands-on testing, route planning, data validation, and collaboration with RF optimization teams.
As an RF Data Collection / Drive Tester Engineer at SWI, you will serve as a frontline field measurement and radio frequency performance specialist in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Operating within an advanced wireless testing environment, this hands‑on engineering position is dedicated to executing comprehensive drive testing, walk testing, and satellite mobility network evaluations. You will be responsible for gathering high‑precision RF telemetry, validating coverage footprints, diagnosing cellular and non‑terrestrial signal anomalies, and delivering benchmark field data essential for optimizing next‑generation wireless communications.
The RF Data Collection / Drive Tester Engineer is responsible for the technical execution, data integrity, and daily operations of mobile radio frequency data collection campaigns across Rio De Janeiro and surrounding testing corridors. In this role, you will configure, calibrate, and operate industry‑standard drive test toolchains, multi‑channel RF scanners, spectrum analyzers, test mobile user equipment (UE), and satellite mobility tracking receivers. You will conduct systematic mobile vehicle‑based drive testing and pedestrian walk testing to capture critical RF key performance indicators across varied topological and dense urban environments.
In this field engineering capacity, you will support critical testing for cellular networks and satellite mobility constellations, monitoring handovers, throughput, latency, call setup success rates, and beam transitions. Daily responsibilities include designing optimized test routes, executing stationary cluster testing, troubleshooting equipment and GPS tracking anomalies in real time, and conducting post‑drive data verification to ensure complete logfile integrity. Working in close coordination with RF optimization engineers and remote performance teams, you will deliver granular field intelligence that directly drives network parameter tuning, coverage expansion, and satellite communication quality across Brazil.
Given that this project specifically features satellite mobility network testing alongside standard drive testing, customize your CV to clearly state your direct experience with mobile data collection software (such as TEMS, Nemo, or QualiPoc) and specialized scanner hardware. Explicitly highlight any hands‑on exposure to high‑mobility testing, beam tracking, or satellite terminals, and confirm your local availability for an immediate start in Rio De Janeiro.
