Firstpoint Group is seeking a Senior RF Optimization Engineer to drive 4G LTE and 5G NR performance improvements in a 100% remote role from Brazil or LATAM. You will own RF optimization, KPI analysis, and collaboration with global telecom clients and engineering teams, using ENM and Ericsson RAN expertise.

You will lead RCA, parameter tuning, VoLTE optimization, EN-DC configurations, and detailed reporting, ensuring top-level signal coverage and network capacity while maintaining Brazilian/LATAM

Detailed Job Description

As a Senior RF Optimization Engineer supporting Firstpoint Group on a 100% remote basis from Brazil or another Latin American country, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of LTE and 5G network performance, radio optimization, and parameter tuning. Your day-to-day responsibilities include optimizing network KPIs related to accessibility, retainability, mobility, and throughput, utilizing Ericsson Network Manager (ENM) tools, analyzing network counters, and collaborating directly with multidisciplinary engineering squads. You will operate in a collaborative remote enterprise environment while partnering directly with global telecom clients and recruitment consultants like Arturo Ramirez Romero.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead rigorous 4G LTE RF optimization and 5G NR network performance enhancements across Ericsson RAN infrastructures.
• Optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) covering accessibility, retainability, mobility, throughput, and overall network capacity.
• Perform comprehensive root cause analysis (RCA), advanced parameter tuning, and real-time performance troubleshooting.
• Execute LTE mobility optimization, load balancing, LTE anchor optimization, and E-UTRA New Radio Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) configurations.
• Analyze radio performance indicators including Channel Quality Indicator (CQI), Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR), and interference levels.
• Utilize Ericsson RAN tools and Ericsson Network Manager (ENM) to inspect network counters and identify performance degradation.
• Design and implement optimization strategies for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and 5G standalone/non-standalone networks.
• Maintain meticulous technical documentation, optimization reports, KPI tracking sheets, and performance tuning logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in 4G LTE and 5G NR radio frequency optimization.
• Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in Ericsson RAN technologies and network management tooling (ENM).
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in analyzing network counters, trace logs, and KPI degradation.
• Deep practical experience in LTE mobility optimization, EN-DC, load balancing, and VoLTE network tuning.
• Professional fluency in Portuguese (mandatory) and professional working proficiency in English.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving aptitude, technical documentation skills, and professional communication capabilities.
• Mandatory legal work authorization and physical residency in Brazil or another Latin American country for 100% remote operations.
