Job summary

ENGIE Brasil is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to support solar power facilities in Barreiras, Brazil. You will perform visual inspections of PV panels and electrical components, tighten connections, and replace basic parts while assisting seasoned technicians in complex maintenance tasks.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to safety procedures, meticulous record-keeping, and teamwork in a fast-paced renewable energy environment.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in mechanics or electrical engineering technology.
• Valid Category B driver’s license.
• NR-10 Basic and SEP, NR-12, NR-06, and NR-35 certifications.
• PV plant maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of panels, cables, connectors, and photovoltaic system structures.
• Tighten electrical and mechanical connections in junction boxes, string boxes, and distribution panels.
• Replace basic components such as fuses, connectors, and module fasteners.
• Support qualified maintenance technicians in more complex corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Record anomalies identified in the field in the company’s maintenance system.
• Strictly comply with occupational health and safety and environmental procedures.
• Maintain the organization and proper condition of work areas and materials under your responsibility.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanics, Electronics, or a related technical field
• Valid Category B driver’s license, required
• NR-10 Basic and SEP, NR-12, NR-06, and NR-35 certifications, required
• Previous experience in photovoltaic power plant maintenance is a plus
• Analytical mindset, with strong risk awareness and attention to detail
• Proactive attitude, ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach in the workplace
