Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across products, services, and processes. You will lead reliability programs, perform analyses, and work with cross-functional teams to reduce failures and improve customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and 3+ years in reliability or quality functions, with experience in quality systems and statistical analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Administration or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial Services.
  • Experience with quality management systems and reliability improvement programs.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Preferred Certifications: CRE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, ISO 55001 Internal Auditor, ASQ CQE.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliability programs to improve equipment, product, and process performance.
  • Perform reliability analyses including Weibull, MTBF, FMEA, RCA, and failure trend analysis.
  • Monitor reliability metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead investigations of equipment and process failures, identifying corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead internal quality audits and support external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Analyze quality data and implement actions to reduce defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

Job Purpose

The Reliability & Quality Engineer is responsible for driving reliability, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives across products, services, and processes. This role focuses on reducing failures, improving product and service performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction through data-driven problem solving and preventive quality methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
Reliability Management

Develop and implement reliability programs to improve equipment, product, and process performance. Perform reliability analyses including Weibull, MTBF, FMEA, RCA, and failure trend analysis. Monitor reliability metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Support lifecycle management and asset performance optimization initiatives. Lead investigations of equipment and process failures, identifying corrective and preventive actions.

Quality Assurance & Improvement

Ensure compliance with company quality management systems and industry standards. Lead internal quality audits and support external audits. Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies. Analyze quality data and implement actions to reduce defects, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

Continuous Improvement

Facilitate root cause analysis investigations using methodologies such as: 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes. Promote a culture of quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

Stakeholder & Customer Support

Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Service Delivery teams. Support customer quality inquiries and reliability improvement initiatives. Present reliability and quality performance metrics to management. Provide technical guidance and training on reliability and quality best practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or/and Administration (or related discipline). Intermediate English Level.

Experience

3+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial Services. Experience in quality management systems and reliability improvement programs. Experience with statistical analysis and performance monitoring.
