Qualificações

  • Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung im Qualitäts- und Lebensmittelsicherheitsmanagement.

Where will you work?

Our Bethlehem, PA, location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and specializes in coffee extract and flavorings created for Kerry products and customers!

What will you do?

Main Objective

  • Ensure all manufactured products at the Kerry plant comply with quality, food safety, customer requirements, and regulatory standards through lab testing and validation schemes.
  • Implement and monitor GMP, food safety, and SQF requirements across the entire site.

Key Responsibilities

  • HACCP site lead and Food safety team member, providing guidelines and support for all operations in verification and yearly validation of HACCP plans and prerequisite programs.
  • Lead the crisis management team for Food Safety requirements.
  • Ensure food safety management systems based on GFSI certification meet current standards.
  • Participate in new product meetings (NPI), conducting risk assessments for food safety based on HACCP and customer requirements.
  • Attend customer audits, USDA, FDA, Kerry group audits, and other quality and food safety audits.
  • Manage the sanitation team to reduce sanitation risks.
  • Develop training programs based on HACCP risks, focusing on risk prevention.
  • Implement and oversee corporate food safety programs.
  • Manage action plans and risk analyses using CAPA and the Intelex portal for root cause analysis.
  • Conduct systematic risk assessments to prevent deviations affecting plant performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage third-party service providers such as pest control, sanitation, and calibration services based on HACCP standards.
  • Serve as the focal point for good manufacturing practices, change management, preventive maintenance, foreign material control, allergen control, and food defense, ensuring all prerequisites are met to minimize food safety risks.
  • Perform risk trend analysis and communicate strengths and weaknesses of the management system based on HACCP, SWAT, and risk map analyses.
  • Reduce customer and consumer complaints.
  • Act as the point person for regulatory inspections (USDA/FDA/CFIA), and manage preserved (organic, kosher) and customer audits.
  • This list is not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

What will you need to be successful?

  • B.S. Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in quality and food safety management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with coffee is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and certification in relevant standards such as IFS, SQF, BRC, and FSSC 22000.
  • Understanding of allergens, microbiological topics, kosher standards, HACCP, GMPs, quality systems, and internal audit processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
  • Willingness to train and onboard at a sister site for a few months.

Compensation Data

The typical salary range for this role is $91,404 to $138,358 annually, influenced by education, experience, certifications, and location. Kerry offers benefits including a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and retirement contributions, subject to eligibility.
