Role Overview

As a Backend Developer at Deliverect, you will contribute to transforming the food service industry by designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that streamline restaurant operations and manage orders across multiple channels. Your work will ensure our platform remains scalable, reliable, and capable of handling high volumes of data and requests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services related to order management, restaurant integrations, and data processing.
• Implement testing strategies, including unit and integration tests, to ensure quality and stability.
• Participate in code reviews, identify issues, and suggest improvements to maintain high code standards.
• Collaborate with API and front-end developers for seamless integration within the ecosystem.
• Develop and document RESTful APIs for communication with clients and third-party services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align on product development and customer needs.
• Innovate and improve architecture, coding practices, and processes.
• Engage in agile practices such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Optimize backend code for efficiency and scalability.
• Adhere to security best practices to protect sensitive data.

Requirements

• Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with APIs and web services.
• Strong understanding of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience designing, developing, and documenting RESTful APIs.
• Experience with web frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Proficiency with Git and version control.
• Solid understanding of software design principles (SOLID).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or OpenAPI.
