Role Overview

As a Backend Developer at Deliverect, you will contribute to transforming the food service industry by designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that streamline restaurant operations and manage multi-channel orders. Your work will ensure our platform remains scalable, reliable, and capable of handling high data volumes and concurrency.

Typical Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services related to order management, integrations, and data processing.
• Implement testing strategies to ensure quality and stability.
• Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with front-end and API developers for seamless integration.
• Develop and document RESTful APIs for platform communication.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and improve processes.
• Contribute ideas for architecture, coding practices, and processes.
• Engage in Agile practices like stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Optimize backend code for performance and scalability.
• Follow secure coding practices to protect sensitive data.

Requirements

• Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency.
• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Proficiency in Python and working with APIs/web services.
• Strong understanding of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and using frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Experience with Git, software design principles, and testing.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and data warehousing.
