Tenova S.p.A. in Castellanza (Italy) is seeking a Proposal Engineer to join the Cold Rolling Downstream Team, coordinating technical offers that meet client requirements and internal standards.

You will supervise the preparation of plant layouts, risk analysis, and supplier input, ensuring alignment with cost estimates and documentation for final submission.

The role requires English fluency, knowledge of CRM and SAP, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; hybrid work is offered.

Qualificações

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• Knowledge of contract types, including international contracts.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) mandatory; additional language is a plus.
• Knowledge of CRM and SAP is required.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the technical development of proposals aligning client specs, internal standards and supplier input.
• Define preliminary plant layouts ensuring regulatory and technical constraints.
• Support risk analysis activities, identifying technical and execution risks.
• Interface with Engineering to consolidate technical documentation, material lists and scope definition.
• Ensure alignment between technical scope and cost estimates; identify gaps or optimization opportunities.
• Prepare and integrate technical documentation for final offer submission.
• Monitor progress of proposal development and ensure timely execution.
• Contribute to supplier quotations evaluation and technical alignment.
• Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers for final validation and submission.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and innovation opportunities.
• Monitor market and technology in the cold rolling sector.

Proposal Engineer

We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join our Cold Rolling Downstream Team, supporting the preparation and coordination of technical offers in line with client requirements, internal standard and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the technical development of proposals, ensuring alignment between client specifications, internal standards, and supplier input.
• Define and validate preliminary plant layouts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and technical constraints.
• Support risk analysis activities, contributing to the identification of technical and execution risks.
• Interface with Engineering to consolidate technical documentation, material lists, and scope definition.
• Ensure consistency between technical scope and cost estimates, identifying gaps or optimization opportunities.
• Prepare and integrate technical documentation for the final offer submission.
• Monitor progress of proposal development, ensuring timely execution and corrective actions when required.
• Contribute to the evaluation of suppliers’ quotations and technical alignment.
• Collaborate with Proposal, Technical and Commercial Managers in the final validation and submission of the offer.
• Provide feedback to R&D on product improvements and innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to market and technology monitoring within the cold rolling sector.

What we ask for

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Automation Engineering.
• Good knowledge of contract types and their main features, including international contracts.
• Knowledge of CRM and SAP is mandatory.
• Knowledge of CAD Software, basic automation and data analysis tools is considered a plus.
• Fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken) and additional language is an added value.
• Strong teamwork, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

For the position, the starting gross annual salary will be from€ 35.000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s seniority, experience, and skills, as well as the outcome of the selection process.
