Job summary

7R Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking an engineer to manage end-to-end project delivery, spanning design, planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and close-out. You will participate in the design and execution of Process Exhaust Systems and HVAC projects.

The role requires 2+ years in engineering or project management, with strong reading of drawings, stakeholder communication, and Excel-based costing. On-site coordination and compliance with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering or project management experience.
• Experience in Process Exhaust Systems or HVAC design/execution.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and time-management skills; stakeholder coordination.
• Proficient in Excel for tender costing, budgeting, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, equipment sizing, technical specs, drawings, and take-offs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Monitor progress, schedules, costs, and resources for timely completion.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings to resolve issues.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Identify risks and mitigation measures; address delays.
• Maintain project documentation: reports, risk assessments, tests, commissioning.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and junior engineers.

About the role

Manage and support the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, from design, planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project close-out. Involvement in the design and engineering of Process Exhaust Systems, including scrubbers, exhaust fans, ductwork, exhaust stacks, and associated equipment, or HVAC systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering calculations, equipment sizing, technical specifications, drawings, and material take-offs
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met
• Monitor project progress, schedules, costs, and resources to ensure timely and successful project completion
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings to support project execution and resolve technical issues
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and potential delays, and implement appropriate mitigation measures
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, method statements, risk assessments, testing and commissioning reports, and as-built documentation
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams and junior engineers when required
• Assist in tender preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, and proposal submissions
• Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental requirements throughout project execution

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering or project management experience
• Experience in the design and execution of Process Exhaust Systems (scrubbers, exhaust fans, ductwork, exhaust stacks, and associated equipment) or HVAC systems
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Knowledge of industrial ventilation systems, airflow principles, duct sizing, equipment selection, and installation practices
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for tender costing, budgeting, and basic data analysis
