Job summary

ACTIVIA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead site operations for plant maintenance, tank and piping fabrication, and installation activities. You will coordinate manpower, materials, and subcontractors to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a mechanical engineering qualification, and readiness to travel to project sites with flexibility for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of site execution, WSH practices, and mechanical installation methods.
• 3–5 years’ experience in plant maintenance, tank, piping, or structural fabrication projects.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and perform overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations for maintenance, fabrication, construction and installation of tanks, piping systems and mechanical equipment.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors for smooth execution.
• Monitor progress, quality and safety on site; ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams.
• Prepare work methods, risk assessments, schedules and progress reports.
• Assist in quotations, cost estimates and variation orders; monitor budget and costs.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including as‑built drawings, inspection reports and handover documents.
• Ensure documentation is complete and submitted on time.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution

• Manage day-to-day site operations for plant maintenance, fabrication, construction, and installation of storage tanks, piping systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor work progress, quality, and safety compliance on site.
• Perform site surveys, resolve technical issues, and ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and WSH requirements.
• Attend site meetings and liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

2. Technical & Cost Control

• Prepare work methods, risk assessments, schedules, and progress reports.
• Assist in preparing quotations, cost estimates, and variation orders.
• Monitor project budget, control costs, and ensure efficient resource utilization to achieve project profitability.
• Support in securing repeat business/ continuous sales through good project delivery and client relationship management.

3. Documentation

• Prepare and maintain all project documentation including as-built drawings, inspection reports, and handover documents.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Requirement:

• Good understanding of site execution, WSH practices, and mechanical installation methods.
• 3-5 years’ experience in plant maintenance, tank, piping, or structural fabrication projects.
• Possess a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Autocad and/or other designing/drafting software.
• Willing to travel to various project sites and work overtime when required.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous.
• Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.
• Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
• Fast worker with ability to work well under stress and tight deadlines.

Additional Requirement:

Need to be flexible with own schedule. Work hours will be based on business needs. May be assigned ad-hoc duties by the Management beside primary roles.
