ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is for individuals who possess strong technical skills in the digital integration field.

The Presales Solution Architect plays a key role in providing solution design & validation support to presales & consulting teams across regions within the International Zone and oversees the Global Presales Practice for all International Presales professionals.

The Presales Solution team aims to enable presales to offer technically and commercially competitive solutions.

IPSE's mission is to bring simplicity and create value in a complex world for our customers, partners, account teams, and Orange Business.

As part of the Presales Solution Design team, you will leverage your skills, experience, and insights; working with SVP or expertise squads to guide and support presales in developing winning solutions. You should have strong technical skills in relevant domains to ensure solution feasibility, a good understanding of commercials for competitive pricing, and experience in stakeholder management to secure approvals. You will promote reusability and autonomy through creating replicable components based on validation and delivery experiences.

The Presales Solution Design Support team, part of IPSE, collaborates with Global Marketing, GDO, CDIO, and international teams to streamline the bid process, increase presales autonomy, simplify solution development and validation, and improve win ratios. The team continuously develops skills in strategic and technical domains to deliver value to customers. The three main strategy pillars are:

  • Reusability through Capitalization: optimizing and reusing solutions already sold, providing documentation to accelerate sales autonomy.
  • Increasing velocity in solution design & validation, facilitating early engagement in the qualification phase.
  • Adding value through expertise aligned with SVP strategy to support innovation and integration.

Job Description

The Presales Solution Architect will work across squads, acting as a vital link among organizations and presales teams, providing guidance, technical expertise, and support to develop solutions that meet customer needs.

He/She will ensure simplified approaches, facilitate service integration, increase knowledge sharing, and bring agility to processes.

Main activities

In their engagements, the Presales Solution Architect will:

  • Support the international bid process at various stages (consultancy, design, validation, costing, handover).
  • Provide solution design expertise to global presales teams relevant to SVPs and domains of expertise.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development on strategy and positioning.
  • Minimize response times while ensuring high-quality, competitive solutions that meet strategic compliance.
  • Coordinate internal and external actions for implementability and operability of solutions.
  • Assess risks, recommend mitigations, and document in risk registers.
  • Ensure smooth transition from Pre-Sales to Post-Sales after deal closure and support pre-sales communities.
  • Deliver high-quality responses, including High-Level Designs (HLD), and maintain updated, reusable solutions.

The Presales Solution Architect will stay updated on emerging trends and technologies, recommending their adoption aligned with SVP strategies.

ABOUT YOU

Key Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Strong technical skills in Digital Integration: Evolution Platform SVP (DI; Connectivity, Cloud, Security, Orchestration).
  • Knowledge of use cases like SD-WAN, SSE, Cloud networking, VNE, cloud connectivity.
  • Familiarity with SASE vendors (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, VeloCloud).
  • Knowledge of Service Management and Service Integration solutions (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Customer-oriented, results-driven.
  • Strong technical presentation skills.
  • Experience working with Sales, Product Managers, or Engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of API development and enterprise system integration.
  • Autonomous, adaptable, and capable of working in multicultural environments.
  • Influence, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

Qualifications, Education, and Certifications

  • BSc in engineering or telecommunications or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in telecommunications or IT.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies; certifications like Scrum, DevOps, SAFe are a plus.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) mandatory.
