Job summary

Victory Restaurant is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to oversee daily activities, ensuring targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will allocate tasks, monitor performance, and lead briefings to communicate priorities across shifts.

You will coach staff, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with maintenance and other teams to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency. A hands-on leader with a focus on continuous improvement will fit well here.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities to achieve production or service targets and maintain quality standards.
• Allocate tasks and resources to team members, balancing workload and skills to meet demand.
• Monitor performance metrics and prepare routine reports on output, attendance and incidents.
• Lead shift handovers and conduct team briefings to communicate priorities and safety information.
• Provide coaching, training and feedback to staff to improve competence and productivity.
• Identify process bottlenecks and work with stakeholders to recommend practical improvements.
• Ensure compliance with operational policies, health and safety requirements and any regulatory obligations.
• Manage minor disciplinary matters and elevate more serious issues to management as required.
• Support inventory control activities, including stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Coordinate with maintenance or support teams to resolve equipment faults and minimise downtime.
• Contribute to planning for peak periods and temporary changes in demand, including rostering.
• Maintain accurate operational records, logs and documentation for audits and reviews.
• Assist in incident investigations by collecting facts, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety and customer focus within the team.
