How will you make an impact in this role?

This role is a partner operations analyst position within the Partner Business Solutions team, in Global Network Partnerships (GNS). PBS is a vibrant global team responsible for owning the servicing to Global Network Partnerships.

This role supports a range of Network Partner banks across multiple countries with operational servicing and some project support. The team's goal is not only to provide excellent service but also to coach and train partner banks to become self-sufficient. Contact with bank partners covers a broad range of operational aspects, crossing many business functions, including Business, Marketing, Technologies, Fraud, Finance, Global Network Operations, Compliance & Policy teams, and General Counsel’s Office.

The individual should be flexible, adaptable, calm under pressure, and possess strong relationship management and communication skills to build trust and credibility with internal and external partners. Time management, work prioritization, independent problem solving, and diplomatic relationship leveraging without direct authority are vital. Comfort working within a multicultural, geographically dispersed team (UK, Mexico, Argentina, US, Malaysia) is essential.

Principle Accountabilities:

1. Partner Servicing

  • Support all operational aspects of Bank Partners, ensuring operational, capability, and technical Network requirements are met.
  • Resolve operational issues reported internally or by partners, collaborating with internal groups and partners.
  • Work closely with GNP Business Development, GNS Technology, and GNO Network Teams to address issues.
  • Ensure Partners adhere to and comply with AEGN operational policies.
  • Identify root causes, drive resolutions, and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence of issues.

2. Program Management / Project Support

  • Assist Project Managers with GNS partner projects.
  • Coordinate with GNS network partners and internal teams to manage workstreams to deadlines.
  • Administer global network initiatives, maintaining records, tracking progress, and working with stakeholders to meet deadlines.

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and leverage relationships with external and internal partners at various organizational levels.
  • Develop a broad network across departments such as Business Development, Technologies, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, and GCO.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Challenge the status quo to enhance self-service capabilities for small/medium banks.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Portuguese and English; advanced Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with payment methods in the Brazilian market.
  • Strong knowledge of Amex Network Technical and Operational environment.
  • Customer service experience, with the ability to resolve operational issues calmly and efficiently.
  • Relationship management skills, influencing without authority internally and externally.
  • Exceptional communication skills to represent the brand and establish credibility.
  • Ability to adapt communication style for various audiences.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, capable of working independently in a matrix organization, and a team player.
  • Flexible in a dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability.
  • Project management experience is highly preferred.
