Job Purpose

The Officer (Second Engineer / 2nd Engineer) of the PLSVs will assume tasks assigned or directed by the Chief Engineer.

Job Description

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and equipment under the responsibility of the Engine Department.
• Familiar with machinery and systems to restore essential services quickly and safely in emergencies. Must understand and adhere to the company's procedures, policies, and instructions. Ensure proper training of subordinates.
• Supervise and ensure maintenance and repair work in the Engine Department is performed safely and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with the planned maintenance system.
• Follow work orders for the operation, conservation, and cleaning of engines and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain updated records in the maintenance control system.

You are suitable for this job if you have:

• Completed EFOMM, ASOM, or ATOM training.
• Certificate of Competence (COC) – III/1.
• CIR - 2nd Engineer.
• STCW - Fast Rescue Boats Course completed.
• EBCP.
• IMCA.
• Proficiency in English.
• Solid knowledge of PLSV-type vessels.
