Spring Professional Portugal in Lisbon seeks a Senior Platform Support Engineer to lead design, build and automate IT infrastructure across on‑premise datacenters and remote sites for a multinational client in the health sector.

You will drive incident response, mentor junior engineers and partner with vendors to improve hardware, virtualization and cloud integration, while upholding security and governance standards.

Qualificações

• Senior-level platform support engineer with experience in designing and automating IT infrastructure.
• Experience with on-premise datacenters and remote sites is required or beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Lead small project works across IT Infrastructure and involved in Design, Planning and Engineering.
• Drive continuous service improvement across the infrastructure and operations team.
• Train and mentor junior members of the team.
• Manage and be an escalation point for 3rd Level IT infrastructure issues.
• Work closely with 3rd party vendors to replace and improve IT hardware infrastructure.
• Follow policies and procedures, as well as recommending improvements.
• Installation, configuration, upgrading software and related products.

Spring Professional is looking for a Senior Platform Support Engineer(m/f), to work in Lisbon and to take the lead on designing, building, automating solutions across on-premise datacenters and remote sites, for a Multinational client in health sector.

Responsabilities

• Lead small project works across IT Infrastructure and involved in Design, Planning and Engineering;
• Drive continuous service improvement across the infrastructure and operations team;
• Train and mentor junior members of the team;
• Manage and be an escalation point for 3rd Level IT infrastructure issues;
• Work closely with 3rd party vendors to replace and improve IT hardware infrastructure;
• Follow policies and procedures, as well as recommending improvements;
• Installation, configuration, upgrading software and related products.

Technical Skillset

• Excellent knowledge of Compute, Storage Networks;
• Windows support, hardening and security improvement;
• Virtualisation administration (VMWare, Hyper‑V, containers);
• Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions;
• Understanding of network processes and hardware;
• IT related qualification preferable (Degree in Computer Science);
• Good understand of backup, recovery technologies and automation technologies;
• Basic experience working in the public cloud framework.
