This position involves providing healthcare services under supervision or in collaboration with attending physicians, including evaluation, treatment, counseling, and referrals, with responsibilities spanning diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic interventions, surgical assistance, and pharmaceutical prescriptions.
The role emphasizes patient advocacy, participation in quality and performance improvement initiatives, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Key duties include patient assessment, physical examinations, diagnostic testing and interpretation, treatment planning, effective communication with healthcare teams, and participation in educational and research activities.
Additional responsibilities encompass conducting virtual care, maintaining professional development, participating in clinical guidelines development, teaching students and residents, engaging in performance improvement, managing electronic medical records, and providing health maintenance and preventive education. The position also involves occupational health services in urgent care settings.
Physical and Sensory Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, reach, handle, and perceive through touch, hearing, and vision as detailed in the original description.
Education and Licensing: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current licensure in Pennsylvania or New Jersey; Physician Assistants must have NCCPA certification.
