• Review and validate NetSuite's native automation and AI features against the client's opportunities.
• Score fit against NetSuite standard and assign a disposition to each gap: adopt, configure, extend, integrate, or accept.
• Design and size SuiteCloud extensions and the EDI, Amazon, and channel integrations.
• Provide platform, module, and connector cost inputs to feed the total cost of ownership model.
• Deliver an objective, vendor-neutral read on platform fit.

Allari, an IT services firm, is running a NetSuite fit assessment for a mid-market consumer products company that sells through major retailers and Amazon and depends heavily on EDI. We are looking for an experienced, independent NetSuite Solution Architect to bring the platform depth this assessment needs. This is an assessment, not an implementation.

What you will do

You will be the NetSuite platform expert on an assessment that covers fit, architecture, automation and AI, and total cost of ownership. You will lead the product demonstration against the client's real business scenarios, size the required extensions and integrations, and deliver an independent read on where NetSuite's standard capabilities fit and where they fall short.

Responsibilities

• Lead a guided NetSuite demonstration and pilot against the client's real scenarios, including EDI order-to-invoice, an Amazon order, matrix items, and a chargeback case
• Review and validate NetSuite's native automation and AI features against the client's opportunities
• Score fit against the NetSuite standard and assign a disposition to each gap: adopt, configure, extend, integrate, or accept
• Design and size SuiteCloud extensions and the EDI, Amazon, and channel integrations
• Provide platform, module, and connector cost inputs to feed the total cost of ownership model
• Deliver an objective, vendor-neutral read on platform fit

Required experience

• 5 or more years implementing and architecting Oracle NetSuite across multiple full-lifecycle projects
• Strong SuiteCloud platform skills (SuiteScript, SDF, workflows) and sound configuration-versus-customization judgment
• Hands-on EDI and retail or wholesale-distribution experience, ideally in consumer products or apparel
• Experience integrating NetSuite with EDI networks and marketplaces, for example SPS Commerce, Celigo, or similar
• NetSuite certifications (SuiteFoundation and ERP Consultant; Administrator a plus)
• Ability to work independently and give an unbiased read, not tied to a NetSuite reseller

Preferred

• Apparel, footwear, or children's and consumer-accessories experience
• Familiarity with style-color-size matrix items and retail compliance
• Experience assessing or migrating from JD Edwards or another legacy ERP

Engagement terms

• Contract role, remote
• Independent contractor, engaged directly by Allari and not through a NetSuite reseller
• Competitive contract rate, commensurate with experience
