CI&T seeks a Senior Java/Python Developer with AI skills to build scalable, AI-enhanced software solutions. You will own end-to-end development, from design to deployment, applying AI-first approaches to boost productivity and software quality. The role focuses on cloud-native microservices on Azure, with collaboration across architects, product teams, and QA.

You will mentor junior engineers, embrace DevOps practices, and continuously learn to shape AI-assisted software engineering at scale.

Qualificações

• Strong Java and Python skills with enterprise experience.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Cloud and data engineering on Azure stack including Databricks and Spark.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and event-driven design.
• Proficient in Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum.
• AI-first software development experience and use of AI tools in coding.

Senior Java/Python Developer with AI Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Java first and a little of Python too, who is passionate about building modern, scalable software while leveraging Artificial Intelligence to dramatically improve engineering productivity. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who embraces AI‑first software development, automates repetitive engineering tasks, and takes end‑to‑end ownership of the services they build.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices
• Develop enterprise applications using Java and Python
• Build modern cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Deliver production-ready software following Agile and DevOps best practices

AI-First Engineering

• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve software delivery speed, quality, and consistency
• Build reusable AI workflows that automate repetitive engineering activities
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve developer productivity using AI

Developer Productivity & Automation

• Develop AI-driven solutions to automate code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, refactoring, and CI/CD pipelines

Collaboration

• Work closely with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while promoting engineering excellence and AI adoption

Must-Have Skills (Required)

• Core Programming: Strong level in Java, goog knowledge in Python development, Object-Oriented Design, Spring Boot, RESTful API Development
• Cloud & Data Engineering: Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, SQL and Data Modeling
• Architecture & Microservices: Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, REST API Design
• DevOps & Modern SDLC: Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum practices
• AI-First Software Development: Practical use of AI tools like GitHub Copilot, AI-Assisted Code Generation, Debugging, and Workflow Automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities
• Advanced/fluent English communication skills. (You will work and be interviewed by people who don't speak portuguese)
