Job summary

Ceva Animal Health in Brazil is seeking a Mid-Level Diagnostic and Scientific Investigation Analyst to receive, process and analyze samples using microbiology, virology, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques (ELISA, PCR) per SOPs.

You will maintain documentation per GMP/GLP, support CAPA initiatives, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and traceability in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine or Biological Sciences or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory environment (internships or academic research) is required.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology, virology, cell culture, or molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, identify, register, organize, and process samples per SOPs.
• Prepare culture media, reagents, controls, and equipment for lab activities.
• Maintain lab organization, inventory, temperature controls, and equipment records.
• Perform analyses including microbiology, virology, cell culture, and molecular techniques (ELISA, PCR) per SOPs.
• Record laboratory data with data integrity and traceability.
• Maintain records per GMP/GLP and quality systems.
• Report atypical results, deviations, or biosafety risks and assist in CAPA.
• Support continuous improvement in lab processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support.

Yourmissions :

• Receive, inspect, identify, register, organize, and process samples in accordance with current procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare culture media, solutions, reagents, controls, materials, and equipment required for laboratory activities, ensuring proper identification, validity, and conditions of use.
• Maintain laboratory organization, minimum inventory levels, temperature controls, equipment usage records, and the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Perform laboratory analyses, including microbiology, virology, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques, such as ELISA, PCR, and basic diagnostic tests, in accordance with SOPs.
• Collect, organize, and record laboratory data, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
• Maintain records and documentation in compliance with GMP, GLP, and quality system requirements.
• Promptly report atypical results, deviations, control failures, equipment issues, or biosafety risks, contributing to root-cause investigations and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams by providing technical support for routine activities.

Yourprofile :

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a laboratory environment, including internships or academic research.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology, virology, cell culture, or molecular biology.
• Familiarity with techniques such as ELISA, PCR, or similar diagnostic methods is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory biosafety practices.
• Knowledge of GLP or ISO standards is a plus.
• Intermediate English proficiency, particularly in technical reading and writing.
