Job summary

Mr. Service is seeking an experienced Mechanic's Assistant to perform basic maintenance and support more complex work. You will grow into a Mechanic role with a clear growth path and salary progression.

Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, in São Paulo. You will independently perform basic maintenance, assist with suspension and engine services, and record services in the workshop system. A driver’s license (Category B) and a basic knowledge of diagnostics and workshop tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Be 18+ years old
• 6+ months experience as mechanic's assistant or similar workshop role
• Knowledge of workshop tools and equipment (lift, jack, torque wrench, impact wrench)
• Basic preventive maintenance skills
• Category B driver's license

Responsibilities

• Independently perform basic maintenance: oil and filter changes, brake pads/Discs, spark plugs, belts, wipers, fluids
• Assist with suspension, steering, cooling, clutch and engine services
• Carry out the initial vehicle inspection and flag items that need attention
• Disassemble/reassemble components following correct procedures and torque specs
• Run post-service tests and check the quality of the work
• Prepare parts, tools and materials for each work order
• Keep the workshop, tools and equipment clean and organized
• Move vehicles around the workshop and test-drive when needed
• Record the services performed in the workshop system

Requirements

• Be 18 or older
• At least 6 months of experience as a mechanic's assistant or similar workshop role (proven in work record or by reference)
• Knowledge of workshop tools and equipment (lift, jack, torque wrench, impact wrench, etc.)
• Command of basic preventive maintenance services
• Category B driver's license
• Completed primary education
• Punctuality, responsibility and care with the customer's vehicle
• A plus: basic knowledge of diagnostics with an automotive scanner
• A plus: basic knowledge of automotive electrics
• A plus: experience with suspension, ABS brakes or electronic injection
• A plus: living in the South Zone or nearby
