Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) Consultant to own two critical areas: full-cycle Variant Configuration and B2B EDI customer integration within SD. The role covers design, enhancement and optimization of configurable product models and the implementation of EDI integrations for orders, deliveries and invoices.

Collaboration with SAP, commerce and business teams is essential to strengthen connections across the SAP ecosystem.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of hands-on SAP SD experience, including S/4HANA project work.
• End-to-end expertise in Variant Configuration, integrating SD, PP and pricing.
• Strong background in B2B EDI and IDoc/ALE-based integration.
• Experience with global, multi-market rollouts within enterprise environments.
• Ability to work independently with architectural ownership, while communicating effectively with business and technical stakeholders alike.
• Fluency in English, with German considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into S/4HANA SD and VC solutions.
• Improve existing VC models and SD processes, covering pricing, availability checks and the order-to-delivery-to-billing cycle.
• Implement and support B2B EDI scenarios along with customer onboarding.
• Support rollout templates and new market localization efforts.
• Assist with testing, cutover and hypercare, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Create solution documentation and share knowledge across internal teams.
• Monitor EDI configurations and resolve errors to maintain stable, standardized integrations.

Job description

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) Consultant to own two critical areas: full-cycle Variant Configuration (VC) and B2B EDI customer integration within SD. This position covers the design, enhancement and optimisation of configurable product models, spanning the product master, classes, characteristics, dependencies, pricing, sales order processing, production and delivery, as well as the implementation and maintenance of EDI integrations for customer-facing processes like orders, order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices and ASNs. The consultant will collaborate closely with internal SAP, commerce and business teams, helping shape the S/4HANA architecture, drive process and performance improvements, and strengthen connections across the broader SAP ecosystem, including SAP Commerce Cloud, so that configurable products and customer orders move seamlessly from storefront and EDI channels into S/4HANA.

Requirements

• Demonstrated end-to-end expertise in Variant Configuration, integrating SD, PP and pricing
• Solid background in B2B EDI and IDoc/ALE-based integration, including partner profiles and output determination in SD
• Experience with global, multi-market rollouts within enterprise environments
• Ability to work independently with architectural ownership, while communicating effectively with business and technical stakeholders alike
• Fluency in English, with German considered a plus

Nice to have

• Experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud or e-commerce platforms with S/4HANA
• Familiarity with Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) and SAP BTP integration
• A background in manufacturing, with cables and connectivity experience being advantageous
